The Boeing Company's Tax Department is currently seeking a State income Tax Project Manager to join its team in Chicago, Illinois. You will collaborate with teammates in a hybrid work environment to support and lead the state and local income tax function. This role is suited for a mid-level tax professional with a strong corporate state income tax knowledge base and familiarity with United States (US) federal tax concepts. This role will report to senior management residing in Chicago and will have frequent interaction with other teams, including the tax teams located at Boeing's offices in Saint Louis, Missouri and Seattle, Washington. It will also entail teaming with other business partners across the Boeing organization as well as outside consultants. The candidate is expected to have a strong tax technical background and foundation in corporate state income taxes. The candidate must be highly motivated with a demonstrated understanding of state tax law, the ability to manage multiple projects at one time and a willingness to learn new areas of tax as needed. Strong analytical, research and communication skills are required. The tax project manager will be responsible for the following activities:
