Boeing Research & Technology is seeking a Manufacturing Research and Development Engineer to support the Berkeley, Missouri facility. We are looking for a broad range of experience, including Entry, Associate or Mid-Level Engineers. We are Boeing Research & Technology (BR&T): Boeing's global research and development team creating and implementing innovative technologies that make the impossible possible and enabling the future of aerospace. We don't talk, we do. On the BR&T team, we solve challenging material & process issues for production aircraft hardware. Whether it's implementing new fabrication processes on the largest commercial airliner in development, find opportunities to reduce the cycle time and cost of building structural parts for our products, or solving challenging situations that arise on the factory floor, every day brings new and unique opportunities. This position supports the Boeing Defense, Space & Security division through the application of engineering principles for the design, fabrication, and installation of equipment and processes. Boeing Research & Technology engineers work closely with production operations, finance, and equipment suppliers to provide cost effective solutions to improve the capacity, quality, and safety of Boeing's operations. Learn from experienced mentors to support design & fabrication of composite and metal parts on our current or future aircraft. Write equipment specifications and coordinate with technicians and senior engineers throughout. Analyze production processes to sort through complex challenges and diagnose the root cause of problems, and then be the one to develop and implement the solution. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
