The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) organization is seeking a Lead Systems Engineer to support the C- 32/C-40 Systems Engineering organization, which provides engineering support services for 757/737NG Commercial Derivative Aircraft. The C-32/C-40 Program is a part of the larger Executive Transport Surveillance (ET&S) Program which provides sustainment and modification support for the Air Force executive fleet. This Position is located in Oklahoma City, OK.

As a C-32/C-40 Systems Engineer, you will support and guide systems engineering activity on the C-32/C-40 platforms by analyzing and/or evaluating customer/operational needs to sustain and/or modify these critical national assets. In this role, you will have the opportunity to be a part of shaping future business through aircraft modifications.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Define system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional, and program interfaces while ensuring accuracy and timeliness of Engineering Support Tasks, Liaison Support Requests, Engineering Projects, and/or Engineering Assignments
  • Perform various analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture
  • Perform analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties into a preferred configuration to ensure C-32/C-40 mission success
  • Develop the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes
  • Participate in a multi-disciplined engineering group to ensure customer contractual requirements are met


This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. secret clearance Post Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
  • Bachelor's and 9 or more years' experience, Master's with 7 or more years' experience or PhD with 4 or more years' experience.

Desired Experience, Skills, and Qualifications:
  • Experience performing System Engineering and/or System Integration for Navigation Systems, Communications Systems, Autoflight systems, and Indicating and Recording Systems
  • Experience performing Aircraft modifications and/or upgrades, FAA certification, Project management, Communications regarding technical subjects to a non-technical audience, Coordination of multiple widespread groups for a common technical solution, test planning and conduct, and EMI/EMC analysis or testing
  • Experience performing analyses for affordability, producibility, system security/safety, human system integration, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and/or other specialty quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success

Summary pay range: $111,350 - &150,650
