Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Mid-Level Occupational Health and Safety Specialist to join our Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) team in El Segundo, CA.

As part of the EHS team you will support health and safety initiatives, projects and compliance, providing influence and decision making.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Develops, implements and monitors occupational health and safety programs and processes
  • Develops and provides training and instructions
  • Evaluates the impact of emerging issues, regulations and legislation to company operations
  • Develops corrective action plan to respond to internal/external audits and inspections
  • Plans and conducts health and safety audits


Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • 3+ years' experience in Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS)
  • 3+ years' experience performing Occupational Safety and/or Industrial Hygiene duties in an industrial environment
  • 3+ years' experience assessing and evaluating risk


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a safety related field (Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety, Toxicology, Bioengineering, Public Health, etc.)
  • Associate Safety Professional or Certified Safety Professional certification from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals
  • Experience developing and implementing process improvements


Work Location:

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Summary pay range: USD $95,200 - $128,800
