Position Summary: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Project Coordinator. In this role, the successful candidate Responsible for providing a range of project coordination activities for a lab focused on improving healthcare quality for people with disabilities. Works with internal and external parties and collaborators, including people with disabilities, to organize the various components needed to initiate, run and complete major projects. Promotes, coordinates and supports the development and implementation of programmatic and research projects. Facilitates the administration process of departmental activities (e.g., work with external collaborators; maintain lab website and other external communications such as listserv and newsletters; coordinate internal and external seminars, meetings and presentations; assists with grant application preparation and submission; compiling and monitoring the master schedule for meetings; contribute to the planning and growth of programs; lead and participate in report writing, development of tools and dissemination activities). Additional Position Specific Responsibilities: None Minimum Qualifications: To qualify you must have a Bachelor degree or equivalent in business administration, health care administration, public health or related field and 3-5 years of experience; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Experience and knowledge of working with the disability community. Excellent written and oral communication skills applicable to a wide variety of audiences. Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to interpret and implement policies and procedures, and effectively communicate detailed information to a diverse population, including people with disabilities, both verbally and in writing. Ability to exercise discretion, good independent judgment, and independent thinking in selecting the optimal course of action. Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management and must work and communicate effectively with both internal and external partners. Proficiency in using various Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook. Familiar with Internet applications. Ability to work within a team environment as well as independently. Time management skills and ability to work well under pressure. Ability to Project/Program manage and to multitask while paying attention to details. Preferred Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have experience working in the healthcare setting; knowledge and expertise in disability accessibility, including relevant laws and policies; experience with grant writing for a variety of funders; experience working with policy makers and healthcare leadership; and experience leading and organizing meetings with diverse partners. NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $64,350.00 - $90,000.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
