Job Description PURPOSE AND SCOPE: The Director, Veterinary Technology Program is responsible for directing and providing leadership for all aspects of the Veterinary Technology program, including but not limited to planning, evaluation, budgeting, selection of faculty, maintenance of accreditation, and providing strategies for professional development. Position manages staff and/or resources to provide specific program or service offerings to internal or external stakeholders. Ensures program curriculum integrity and maintenance of accreditation. Responsible for budget planning and resource allocation for the program in conjunction with the Dean. Implements System policies and procedures, effectively communicating on an on-going basis with LSC-System Office. This position may teach Veterinary Technology classes as needed for an additional stipend. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: PHYSICAL ABILITIES: The work requires considerable and strenuous physical exertion, such as working with animals, frequent climbing of tall ladders, lifting heavy objects over fifty pounds, crouching, or crawling in restricted areas, and defending oneself or others against physical attack. WORK SCHEDULE AND CONDITIONS: REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Salary Hiring salary range is $83,159 - $95,633. Lone Star College provides a hiring salary range for all posted full-time non-faculty positions. Where your salary offer would fall in that range is determined by your related experience and education.
