The Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) team is seeking an Advanced Technologist to join our Test Bed Operations team in Berkeley, MO.

The Test Bed Operations team operates a fleet of aircraft as flying laboratories to provide early access to flight test for emerging technology. The selected candidate will be responsible for setting the configuration of test bed assets in support of rapid development flight testing.

BT&E is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including: Associate and Experienced Advanced Technologists.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Researching, implementing, and flight-testing novel networks and architectures
  • Adapting new networks to interface with internal customer equipment
  • Configuring ground station and on-aircraft networks and antennas to support data transmission capabilities
  • On-aircraft computing and mission equipment layout, installation, and troubleshooting
  • Assist in evaluating emerging technology trends and products
  • Enabling flight test activities through the use of computing and networking systems
  • Participating in flight testing


Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • 1+ years of experience working with RF Communication systems
  • 1+ years of experience with Tactical Data Links (e.g., Link-16)
  • 1+ years of experience with hands on support of IT Hardware such as setting up, configuring, modifying and troubleshooting switches, routers, network equipment, high performance computing equipment, and server racks


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Current and valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License
  • Experience supporting product testing either in the flight or lab test environment
  • Experience in systems design and/or systems analysis and/or systems integration
  • Experience with flight line operations and ground operations procedures associated with flight testing
  • Active U.S Security clearance (secret or higher)

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary Pay Range for Associate level (Level 2): $85,000 - $115,000

Summary Pay Range for Experienced level (Level 3): $105,400 - $142,600
