Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Multi-Family Manager to support the Vertical Lift Cargo Programs & Contracting team in Ridley Park, PA. This role will either support a supply chain contracting team or a supply chain business team supporting the VL platforms in Philadelphia.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Acts as an authorized agent of the company with responsibility for managing all supplier-related activities and the authority to commit company resources through contracts and agreements
  • Manages employees from multiple Supplier Management and Procurement disciplines performing activities related to the acquisition of goods and services in support of company operations, supplier assessment and performance improvement, management and improvement of supply chain management and processes
  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals
  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
  • Provides oversight regarding negotiation processes and related tools
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees


Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • 3+ years' experience in Supplier Management or Supply Chain Management
  • 3+ years of experience leading or managing projects that involved cross-functional or cross-business unit teams
  • 3+ years of experience establishing positive relationships and strong on-going communication with customers, stakeholders, peers, and suppliers
  • Experience reporting status and recommendations to senior and executive leadership
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher
  • 3+ years of experience negotiating contracts or management supplier performance

Summary pay range: $118,150 - $145,950
