Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a First-Line Product and Service Quality Manager (Level K) to support the Repair Station team in Victorville, California.

This position will ensure aircraft repairs, warranty support and tech assists are completed and pass certification for airworthiness by overseeing final component installation, systems operation functional testing, modification, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and preparation for delivery and return to service.

The Commercial Modification Center, Quality Manager is responsible for providing Oversight to Regulatory Safety and Quality for Return to Service for customer aircraft and components after work has been performed. This job operates in the FAA Part-145 and requires knowledge of FAA FAR's, Boeing Repair Station policies and procedures and familiar with Foreign Regulatory Bi-Laterals.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Interfaces with flight crews, engineering, management, suppliers, and customers to meet program requirements and ensure customer acceptance.
  • Familiar with the FAA FAR requirements when working in the part-145 and those of foreign regulators and applicable bi-lateral agreements.
  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.
  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees
  • Travel 20% of the time both domestically and internationally

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • 3+ years of experience leading teams in a formal and /or informal role
  • 3+ years of experience in developing and implementing process improvements
  • 3+ years of experience managing direct reports
  • Currently holds an FAA Airframe and Power Plant License or the aircraft years and experience necessary to obtain an FAA Repairman's certificate
  • Ability to travel 20% of the time both domestically and internationally


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • 3+ years of experience developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers and partners
  • 3+ years of experience executing work packages under FAA 14 CFR § Part 145 regulatory requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) and Corrective Action Preventive Action (CAPA)
  • 3+ years of experience performing Material Review Board (MRB) product review
  • 3+ years of experience leading or managing cross-functional projects

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary Pay Range: $122,400 - $145,200
