Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for an Senior Cloud Engineer to join our team located in Multiple Locations! This position can be located at Ridley Park, PA; Seattle, WA; Plano, TX or Hazelwood, MO. This team is tasked with transforming the way BDS data is sourced, managed, and utilized to unlock insights to drive business growth and optimization. The team supports data needs for internal stakeholders, across BDS business programs and functions, and is tasked with utilizing data to inform and improve the full lifecycle of BDS products. In this role, you will be a thought leader in how to design, implement, manage, and scale data pipelines in support of the BDS Data Analytics Platform leveraging modern cloud architecture design, hybrid cloud technologies, data migration technologies, and others. You will be responsible for crafting data pipelines and deploying them in a cloud infrastructure. This role requires a resourceful, self-driven, outcome-oriented individual with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to partner, execute, and communicate skillfully, while solving complex problems in dynamic environments. The ideal candidate will have experience with large scale data platforms, cloud computing, hybrid clouds, software development, and requirements management. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. And experience working in cross-functional teams and leading technical projects is required. Position Responsibilities:
This position is hybrid. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team's discretion and could potentially change in the future. This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
