Description Job Summary The Production Lead assists the Production supervisor in the leadership of department personnel; planning, coordination, overseeing production operations; and performing administrative duties. The Production Lead is also responsible for upkeep and accuracy of our 5S, TPM and Standard Start programs. Duties and Responsibilities: • Assist production supervisor with leadership & supervision of production personnel. • Assist production supervisor with manning management. • Assist production supervisor with the coaching and training of production operators • Assist with daily production needs including SAPI reviewing and batch completion • Assist production supervisor in developing employees in our 5S, TPM and Standard Start programs • Liaison with scheduling department and personnel. • Schedule and assign daily job duties. • Initiate and track material downtime and scrap concerns. • Enforce all safety rules and regulations. • Be responsible to the employee accountability program. • Production record keeping and documentation. • Work with supervisors, managers, and safety coordinator on problems and projects brought up in tier meetings • Assist with training production operators. • Troubleshoot and monitor equipment. • Perform preventive maintenance on equipment. • Participate in COS activities, including SQDC board walks and board maintenance, 5S, and Kaizen events. • Be the shift Tier 1 board owner • Other duties as assigned. Education and Experience: • High School Diploma or GED equivalent • 5 years of experience in manufacturing; or 2-year degree and 3 years of experience; or other comparable combination of experience and education.in industrial manufacturing environment Equipment Used: • Forklifts, laminator, gang saws, robotic equipment, cross-cut saw, packaging equipment (Lantek and MSK). • Office equipment (computer, phone, kiosk) • Computer systems (CMMS, SAP, MS programs) |
