Alera Group is seeking a remote Account Manager to join our growing team at Alera Absence Administrators (AbSolve). Alera Group was founded in 2017 and has grown to become the 15th largest broker of US business. We are passionate about our clients� success in the areas of Employee Benefits, Property and Casualty Insurance, Retirement Plan Services, and Wealth Services. This role is ideal for a high-performing professional with strong absence management expertise, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for solving client challenges in a complex regulatory and service environment. RESPONSIBILITIES
Serve as the primary relationship manager for a portfolio of employer clients, building trust through strategic guidance and compliance-aligned service (FMLA, ADA, PFML, STD). Lead annual reviews, performance reporting, and strategic planning to drive benefit and process improvements. Identify and pursue opportunities to expand client services, such as private PFML plans or integrated STD administration. Support sales efforts through RFP responses, finalist presentations, and onboarding coordination. Oversee implementation, leading kickoff meetings and ensuring a smooth transition with internal teams (product, claims, IT). Monitor KPIs, regulatory changes, and service quality, resolving escalations and ensuring legal compliance. Provide expert consultation on leave management best practices, including policy design, communication, training, and return-to-work strategies. QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor�s degree preferred; equivalent work experience accepted. 7+ years in benefits account management, brokerage, or third-party administration, with deep knowledge of leave/disability programs (FMLA, ADA, PFML, STD/LTD). High-energy, data-driven professional with strong analytical and business skills; experienced in interpreting claims and service data to deliver actionable insights, and highly effective in communicating and presenting to stakeholders at all levels. Proficient in Microsoft Office; CRM and leave administration system experience preferred. Active Life & Health license required (or must obtain within 90 days).
