Alera Group is looking for an Employee Benefits Account Manager. With a network of offices nationwide, our commitment to collaboration allows us to offer national resources combined with local service. RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide responsive customer service to employer groups and employees via phone and email, resolving inquiries and assisting with claims, billing, and general support needs. Quote new business prospects and renewing groups, qualify new leads, schedule appointments, and work closely with the Producer to support employer group relationships. Administer group enrollments, onboard new employer clients, and generate necessary reports through Employee Navigator to ensure smooth implementation and accurate data tracking. Maintain up-to-date and accurate client records in the CRM system and server files, ensuring all information reflects current plan details and compliance requirements. Create and update Benefit Guides, compile employee enrollment packets, and manage the processing of employee applications, terminations, and coverage changes. Complete and maintain required state insurance licensing and adhere to all regulatory requirements relevant to group benefits administration. Collaborate with team members on daily tasks and take on additional responsibilities as assigned by the manager to support operational efficiency and client satisfaction. QUALIFICATIONS
Demonstrates strong customer service orientation with the ability to professionally and courteously engage with clients, resolve issues, and adapt communication style to meet varying client needs. Skilled in problem-solving and critical thinking, capable of analyzing complex information, interpreting data and charts, and making informed, accurate decisions. Highly detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy in deliverables, ensuring that all client-facing work is polished, thorough, and error-free. Adapts well to changes in industry standards, technology, and client expectations, maintaining flexibility and a proactive approach to evolving requirements. Proficient in using digital tools including Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and web-based platforms, with a quick ability to learn new software and systems. Strong written communication skills, able to convey information clearly and thoughtfully in emails, documents, and client-facing materials. Possesses excellent time management skills and a positive, solution-focused mindset; able to calmly de-escalate situations with upset or confused clients while maintaining professionalism. BENEFITS

Hourly rate starts at $26 per hour with additional bonus program opportunity.
