Alera Group is looking for a Senior Client Manager - Employee Benefits to join our team. Lead and manage client renewal processes, including discussions, negotiations, and preparation of deliverables. Serve as the primary relationship manager, providing education, setting expectations, handling inquiries, and resolving service issues. Facilitate key client meetings (e.g., mid-year, renewal, wellness strategy) and coordinate internal subject matter experts as needed. Develop strong relationships with client stakeholders, including HR leaders and C-suite executives. Oversee all aspects of client service responsibilities, including RFPs, benefit design, enrollment, and plan clarifications. Support business growth by acquiring new clients and lines of coverage; assist in prospect meetings and new group setups. Coordinate carrier/vendor interactions, perform on-site enrollments, interpret contracts with team support, and travel for client events. QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor�s degree in business or related field preferred Licensed in Health and Life insurance 3�5 years of Account Management experience at a Broker office Customer service or call center experience Working knowledge of medical terminology, group insurance terms, and regulatory requirements Experience with self-funded and/or fully insured large and small group plans Ability to read and interpret contract documents; capable of writing routine reports and correspondence Strong oral and written communication skills, with excellent organizational and customer service abilities Effective time management and multi-tasking skills with attention to detail Proficient in PC use, MS Office applications, and possesses strong mathematical aptitude BENEFITS
This job requires presence in the office on a hybrid schedule as agreed with the manager based out of our Chandler or Scottsdale office location.
