The Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services (ADAMHS) Board of Cuyahoga County is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a Probate Specialist Position.

Under the supervision of the Assistant Chief Clinical Officer. Serves as administrative liaison between the County Probate Court and the ADAMHS Board in matters involving civil commitment and involuntary psychiatric hospitalization. Performs administrative duties involved with the civil commitment process in accordance with Ohio law and state regulations and ensures timely coordination, legal compliance and continuity of services for individuals subject to involuntary mental health treatment. Provides assistance to the supervisor and departmental staff in carrying out day to day tasks to support the Clinical Unit as needed. Maintains information in accordance with applicable rules and procedures regarding confidentiality.

The ADAMHS Board currently offers a hybrid work schedule, allowing employees to work two days from home and three days in the office each week following the completion of the probationary period.

The salary for this position ranges from $37,212 to $63,759. The pay is commensurate with experience.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified individual to work for a quasi-independent part of the county government; which is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. The Board has the legal responsibility and authority for the provision of mental health and addiction treatment and recovery services and contracts with provider agencies to deliver services that assist clients on the road to recovery.
