Description The Prince George's Sports & Learning Complex is looking for an energetic, enthusiastic, highly motivated person to be a Customer Service Representative. This position will report directly to the Customer Service Manager and also work closely with the Director of Administrative Services. Customer Service is an integral part of the Prince George's Sports & Learning Complex team. Responsibilities will include greeting customers; answering telephones; distributing mail; registering patrons for courses, memberships and events using ParksDirect; and monitoring traffic along Main Street (main corridor in the building). The ideal candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, is self-motivated, flexible, detail-oriented, and enjoys working with people. Applicant must be able to work any shift or day of the week. The incumbent will be expected to have excellent verbal and written communication skills; good interpersonal and management skills. Must be highly organized, patient and understanding with strong personality and leadership skills that shine. Proficiency in Microsoft Suite is a plus. Must be able to lift packages that weigh at least 10 pounds and walk a minimum of 75 feet. Preferred candidates will possess a High School diploma with two years of progressive customer service experience and cash handling experience. College experience preferred. This position is scheduled for a minimum of three days per week and pay range is $15.00/hour -$15.52/hour. Minimum Qualifications College degree in appropriate field is desirable, and limited supervision and management experience is necessary for jobs involved in assisting in the management and supervision of a facility or supervising a small program; or an equivalent combination of education and experience equal to entry-level skills and abilities in providing assistance to career staff in supervising and managing a program or facility. This is for informational purposes only and is subject to change. Limited Benefits for Seasonal Employees Health Insurance Plans You are eligible for specific health insurance benefits if you worked, on average, 30 hours per week during your first 12 months of employment or from October 3rd to October 2nd each subsequent period following your first 12 months of employment. This equates to 1,560 hours over a 12-month period. If and when you are eligible for benefits, you will receive notification directly from the Health & Benefits Office. Eligible Employees Pay 35% of the health insurance plan premium and The Commission Pays 65%.
