We are currently seeking a dynamic, highly organize and professional seasonal/intermittent Data Entry Support Staff - Tier II to work on the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) Project on our Enterprise Asset Management Team.

The Montgomery County Department of Parks has Seasonal part-time opportunities located in the Southern and Northern Region Park locations.

Position pays a rate of $16.00/hour.

Schedule is 25 -30 hours per week depending on workload, Monday - Thursday or Tuesday - Friday from 7:00 am - 3:30 pm; schedule is subject to change.

Southern Region Park Locations:
The Southern Region encompasses the southern portion of Montgomery County: Cabin John Regional Park, Wheaton Regional, Meadowbrook Maintenance Facility and Martin Luther King, Jr. Recreational Park.

The successful candidate will have quick typing skills, exceptional attention to details, possess good communications skills, strong organizational skills, and can work efficiently either as an individual or with a team. In addition, must have experience using technology with effective task-management skills. On the job training is provided.

Examples of Important Duties

  • Maintains professional customer service and support of best practices.
  • Conducts incident logging, categorization and prioritization of events triggered by internal and external customers and triggers from internally developed applications.
  • Assists with monitoring information systems for quality assurance.
  • Uploads and validates HCM staff information data into the EAM system within Montgomery County divisions.
  • Evaluates time (labor) reports by staff from the EAM system.
  • Tracks trends such as terminations, certifications, total updates, and labor tracking.
  • Assists with facilitation and training of staff and management on information systems.
  • Tests processes within the EAM system.
  • Performs varied data entry work involving some complexity and variety.
  • Accomplishes a variety of work with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Provides help with troubleshooting support to end users.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3 + years Computer or Data Entry experience.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications involving Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Typing speed 40 WPM
  • A valid driver's license in accordance with both State and Commission rules and regulations. Driver's licenses must be unencumbered by restrictions, revocations, suspensions, or points that could limit the employee's ability to drive Commission vehicles or perform driving duties required of their position

Limited Benefits for Seasonal Employees

Health Insurance Plans
You are eligible for specific health insurance benefits if you worked, on average, 30 hours per week during your first 12 months of employment or from October 3rd to October 2nd each subsequent period following your first 12 months of employment. This equates to 1,560 hours over a 12-month period.

If and when you are eligible for benefits, you will receive notification directly from the Health & Benefits Office.

Eligible Employees Pay 35% of the health insurance plan premium and The Commission Pays 65%.
