Fairland Sports & Aquatics - Seasonal/Intermittent Opportunities

The Prince George's County Parks & Recreation, Fairland Sports & Aquatics Complex offers a number of sports activities to include: fitness, personal training, aquatics activities, childcare/afterschool care, gymnastics and much more! We also host a number of countywide programs to include sports leagues, health & wellness workshops, and special events!

Fairland Sports and Aquatics has a number of great opportunities currently available!

Most instructor, coaching, and trainer positions require the appropriate training, experience, and or certification necessary to facilitate the course/sports specialty. Salary ranges will vary depending on experience and qualifications.

Fairland Sports & Aquatics is currently seeking:
  • Coaches/Instructors; Gymnastics (Aides) Assistants - Positions pay at a rate range of $15.00/hour - $34.00/hour based on experience, qualifications and certifications.
  • Customer Service Representative & Admin Support - $15.00/hour - $17.65/hour
  • Shift Managers - $15.00/hour - $16.80/hour
  • Operations/Maintenance Workers - $15.00/hour -$16.80/hour
  • Childcare/After School Program Staff - $15.00/hour - $31.26/hour
  • Massage Therapist - $20.17/hour - $31.26/hour

The following information is a summary of benefits extended to all Seasonal employees of the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC). This is for informational purposes only and is subject to change.

Limited Benefits for Seasonal Employees

Health Insurance Plans
You are eligible for specific health insurance benefits if you worked, on average, 30 hours per week during your first 12 months of employment or from October 3rd to October 2nd each subsequent period following your first 12 months of employment. This equates to 1,560 hours over a 12-month period.

If and when you are eligible for benefits, you will receive notification directly from the Health & Benefits Office.

Eligible Employees Pay 35% of the health insurance plan premium and The Commission Pays 65%.

    • UnitedHealthcare Select Plan (EPO)
  • Prescription: CVS Caremark Prescription Plan
