Description Aquatics - Seasonal/Intermittent Opportunities NOTE: REVISED MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENTS FOR SOME AQUATICS POSITIONS! The Prince George's County Parks & Recreation, Aquatics Complexes feature a number of exciting aquatics and sports activities. We also host a number of countywide programs to include sports leagues, health & wellness workshops, and special events! We offer a number of great opportunities to showcase your talent! Most instructor, coaching, and trainer positions require the appropriate training, experience, and or certification necessary to facilitate the course/sports specialty. Salary ranges will vary depending on experience and qualifications. Below are some of our aquatics positions:

THE MARYLAND-NATIONAL CAPITAL PARK AND PLANNING COMMISSION 2025 BENEFIT SUMMARY FOR SEASONAL INTERMITTENT EMPLOYEES The following information is a summary of benefits extended to all Seasonal employees of the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC). This is for informational purposes only and is subject to change. Limited Benefits for Seasonal Employees Health Insurance Plans You are eligible for specific health insurance benefits if you worked, on average, 30 hours per week during your first 12 months of employment or from October 3rd to October 2nd each subsequent period following your first 12 months of employment. This equates to 1,560 hours over a 12-month period. If and when you are eligible for benefits, you will receive notification directly from the Health & Benefits Office. Eligible Employees Pay 35% of the health insurance plan premium and The Commission Pays 65%.

(Ages 17 or under must have a work permit from your high school, if hired.)
* 02 Are you able to tread water for 2 minutes using only the legs (hand placed across chest under armpits)?
* 03 Are you able to complete a timed event within 1 minute, 40 seconds? The event will include: a. Starting in the water, swim 20 yards then surface dive, feet-first or head-first, to a depth of 7-10 feet to retrieve a 10-pound object. b. Surface and swim 20 yards on back, with both hands holding the object. c. Exit the water without using a ladder or steps.
