Under the supervision of the Chief Operating Officer, University Advancement, the Executive Director, OC Alliance will oversee and direct outreach, engagement programming, solicitation, and stewardship strategies for targeted UCI communities. UCI is a Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI). This federal designation aligns with UCI's aspiration to be a national leader and global model of inclusive excellence. As a designated HSI, UCI faculty, staff and students are eligible to apply for Minority-Serving Institution (MSI) grants, internships and partnerships. Established by UCI Foundation Trustees in 2021, the OC Alliance aims to support UCI in its objective to become a Hispanic-thriving university. The Alliance connects local leaders and businesses with UCI to advance Latino/a students through engagement with more than 135 programs on campus geared toward promoting upward mobility. The Executive Director serves a critical role as ambassador for the University, building strong and sustained relationships with targeted constituent groups and engaging them in meaningful ways in the life of the University. This individual will develop, prioritize, and grow engagement initiatives as well as design and implement systems for facilitating a constituent-centric experience. This position is critical to creating, sustaining, strengthening, and shaping constituency partnerships. They will develop new engagement program initiatives; explore opportunities to strengthen existing programs; raise unrestricted annual donations from alumni and friends of specific programs and oversee the strategies for communications, stewardship and events that support OC Alliance and Advancement objectives. A key focus of activity over the next three years will be directing targeted communications, events and outreach plan for the Brilliant Future campaign and the 60th anniversary.
