WHO is Sound Generations? We are a comprehensive non-profit organization that serves older adults and people with disabilities in King County. Our mission is to partner with older adults to provide accessible and inclusive services so they can age their way. We are seeking a Diversity, Equity, Inclusion Officer to join our team in Seattle, WA. WHAT will I do? The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Officer position advises Sound Generations leaders and employees on internal processes to achieve DEI objectives. Promotes and incorporates an equity lens to shape decision making, services, and programs. Pay Range: $95,000 – $115,000 per year. Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 40 hours/week. Responsibilities: • Develop and execute Sound Generations DEI plans, events, and activities. • Foster knowledge and adoption of diversity, equity, and inclusion topics and best practices. • Organize and/or present workshops, seminars, and forums to provide diversity, equity, and inclusion education, training, consultation and guidance to all staff and volunteers (as needed). • Benchmark, track effectiveness, and deliver results of DEI efforts and maintain diversity metrics. • Facilitate and support DEI Committee and Affinity Groups. • Plan, implement, and evaluate operations. Analyze data and prepare reports. • Represent the organization to external stakeholders and audiences. Expand, diversify, and strengthen alliances with community partners to develop and implement strategies to shape decision-making. • Develop and manage assigned budgets and operating plans. Code and approve invoices. • Maintain legal and contractual compliance.
Requirements: • Bachelors' Degree in related field OR Four (4) years of directly related experience and • Four (4) years of related DEI experience.
