Introduction:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Supply Chain Manager to join our Elkhorn, NE organization. As a Site Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the end-to-end supply chain operations at our site location. You will be responsible for managing the flow of materials, ensuring timely delivery and availability of inventory, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Supply Chain Strategy:
  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with company goals and objectives, ensuring the site's supply chain operations are efficient, cost-effective, and customer-focused.


Inventory Management:
  • Plan and manage inventory levels to meet production requirements and customer demands, minimizing stock-outs and excess inventory. Utilize forecasting and demand planning techniques to optimize inventory holding and improve working capital efficiency.


Supplier Management:
  • Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure healthy supplier relationships, performance, timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.


Logistics and Transportation:
  • Coordinate transportation activities, including inbound and outbound logistics, to ensure efficient movement of goods. Optimize transportation costs and lead time while ensuring compliance with local regulations.


Process Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement within the supply chain and implement innovative solutions to optimize operational efficiency, reduce lead times, and minimize costs. Implement lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies to drive continuous improvement.


Demand Planning:
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and production teams to develop accurate demand forecasts based on historical data, market intelligence, and customer inputs. Ensure alignment between demand and supply plans to meet customer requirements.


Risk Management:
  • Assess and mitigate supply chain risks, such as supplier disruptions, demand variability, transportation delays, and regulatory changes. Develop contingency plans and establish robust business continuity processes to ensure uninterrupted supply chain operations.


Team Management:
  • Lead and motivate a team of supply chain professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning within the team.


Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A master's degree or professional certifications in supply chain management is a plus.
  • Proven experience (3+ years) in supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Experience in a biopharma manufacturing setting is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes, including demand planning, procurement, production scheduling, inventory management, logistics, and distribution.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven mindset and ability to make data-backed decisions.
  • Proficient in using supply chain management software systems, advanced Excel, and other relevant tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, with a track record of successfully managing teams and driving operational excellence.
