The Health, Safety, Environmental & Facilities (HSE&F) department is looking for an HSE or facilities management intern to support its programs in the Phoenix, Az facilities and operations. The HSE&F intern will assist the team in continuously improving facilities maintenance, safety culture, and meeting/exceeding regulatory plus company policy requirements. The Honeywell Aerospace Development Program offers a summer internship program for candidates in Health, Safety and Environmental and Facilities (HSE&F) career paths. The summer intern program is designed to provide the candidate with a three-month project assignment that is related to their major. In this position you will gain real-world hands-on technical experience in Health, Safety Environmental or Facilities Management with a leading Aerospace company. ABOUT THE ROLE: - Supports day-to-day operations of the health, safety, environmental and facilities (HSEF) function developing experience and understanding of HSEF management systems, policies, procedures, and processes. - Focus on a special HSEF project to be determined based on the intern's interests and experience to implement improvements and to build communication and networking skills with other functional and business areas. - Assist with developing and implementation of HSE&F programs, policies, and procedures to continually improve processes. - Assist with developing and/or reviewing safety training content and experience facilitating and hosting training sessions. - Participate in HSE&F inspections, own corrective actions, and track items to closure. - Participate in investigating safety incidents and concerns and identifying and owning corrective actions. - Opportunity to have impact on HSEF program at sites that protect employees, the environment and maintain assets. - Opportunities to assist with environmental programs such as hazardous waste reduction projects, sustainability projects and carbon neutrality. You'll have the opportunity to work alongside industry experts, direct initiatives that refine technical skills, and have unparalleled mentorship and growth opportunities that will elevate your career. #Futureshaper MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in one of the following: Civil Engineering / Architecture Environmental Engineering Industrial Hygiene / Occupational Safety Chemical Engineering Maintenance Engineering or other Health, Safety, & Environment (HSE) disciplines - Ability to prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines - Working knowledge of MS Office Suite and MS Excel with ability to understand Excel worksheets - Must have a graduation date no later than 2026 WE VALUE: - Demonstrated academic excellence. - Willingness to relocate. - Must be able to participate, in an internship, prior to completing current degree program. - Ability to demonstrate the Honeywell Behaviors: getting results, advocate change, foster teamwork, effective advisor, and integrative thinker. - Excellent oral and written communication skills. - Critical thinking skills. - Proactive self-starter.
