As a Senior Field Service Technician at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance of our building automation systems. The main function of this position is to respond and resolve complex service calls providing technical support and troubleshooting to Honeywell customers. Additional responsibilities related to the technical delivery of small service jobs, time and work material, and preventive maintenance may be assigned as well. These customers will have various products installed that fall into the - HVAC, automation controls, life safety, fire, and security systems category as well as their associated computer systems.

You will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to delivering top-notch service to our clients, contributing to the seamless operation of smart buildings, and championing Honeywell's commitment to excellence. You will report directly to our Field Service Supervisor, and you will provide support for our customers in Richmond, VA and surrounding area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Test, calibrate, and verify system and peripheral devices (testing to be performed according to all applicable standards and codes)
  • Verify system functional performance to ensure proper operations according to contract requirements and shop drawings/sequence of operations, etc.
  • Perform system backups, install appropriate updates and patches
  • Maintain accurate records of all installations, maintenance activities, and repairs. Complete service reports and documentation in a timely manner
  • Update customer drawings/documentation with any configuration or model changes
  • Ensure all assigned preventive maintenance tasks are completed in the time allotted

YOU MUST HAVE

  • High School Diploma, or equivalent
  • Experience working with building automation systems (Hardware & Software)
  • Former knowledge of completing preventative maintenance internally or externally.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, conduct repairs, and work independently
  • Ability to travel throughout the service area, with occasional overnight stays as needed
  • Valid Driver's License and driving record acceptable to Honeywell
WE VALUE

  • Technical degree or certification in HVAC or other relevant industry
  • Additional building automation certifications (not necessarily Honeywell) is a plus
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical/electrical diagrams and sequences of operation
  • Advanced diagnostics and troubleshooting capabilities
