Lead a team of Quality Engineers & Quality Technicians at the Freeport, IL site that applies its expertise and knowledge in finding innovative, cost-effective means to improve quality output and continuous improvements working with Operations, Engineering, Operations AME and Sourcing. You will lead the strategic direction and initiatives that ensures compliance with customer requirements, regulatory agencies, government regulations and engineering specifications while instilling site accountability for governance of the Quality System, product acceptance and, product quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as site Quality Management Representative, as described under ISO 9001 / AS9100 quality system standards
  • Ensure site quality system contains process controls and procedures for product-related documentation necessary to manufacture products to engineering drawing and customer requirements
  • Ensure site quality system includes process controls to help ensure purchased products conform to Honeywell and external quality system requirements for control of subcontractors
  • Develop and manage quality assurance metrics (dPPM, COPQ, RCCA) for performance improvement of critical processes
  • Play key role in communicating with customer and regulatory authorities
  • Responsible for technical hourly and salaried staff and associated skills development
U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.

YOU MUST HAVE
  • 5-10 years of applicable experience

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related technical field
  • Manufacturing experience in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal/external customers
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated application of continuous improvement
  • Able to influence changes that positively impact production
  • Some experience of leading technical teams
  • Knowledge of quality assurance standards
  • Experience implementing Quality Management systems
  • Six Sigma Greenbelt desired
