Overview

AAA Life Insurance Company is seeking a Director, Creative Development and Activation Strategy! The Director, Creative Development and Activation Strategy will play a pivotal role in developing and driving creative strategies to reach and engage specific customer segments identified by the organization. The Director will lead a team responsible for developing marketing materials as well as managing the internal approval process from concept through production. This role will also manage a network of external creative agencies to support our insurance campaign strategies.

Responsibilities

Strategy Development:
  • Develop and implement creative and data-driven direct marketing strategies to reach and resonate with target customer segments.
  • Analyze market trends, customer insights, and competitive intelligence to inform and optimize marketing strategies.
  • Partner with internal research team and to inform learning objectives for direct marketing programs.
  • Build out a team over time to lead the marketing strategies for outstanding customer segments defined at the enterprise level.

Campaign Planning and Execution:
  • Plan and implement the development of creative treatments for direct mail and digital campaigns including creative briefs, concept development, creative approvals, and production files.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of direct marketing initiatives with overall marketing plans.
  • Lead the team responsible for managing the review process for all marketing materials and ensure all materials are follows relevant state and federal regulations.
  • Continuously evaluate opportunities to improve processes and reduce cycle times on the creative development process.

Stakeholder Management:
  • Liaise with internal marketing and brand teams to ensure alignment with brand guidelines.
  • Manage network of external creative agencies to develop new creative treatments for testing across customer segments and product lines.
  • Partner with key stakeholders across the enterprise to ensure marketing approaches align with enterprise strategies include product, sales and member services.

Data Analysis and Optimization:
  • Apply analytics tools and performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of direct marketing campaigns.
  • Identify areas for improvement and optimization and make recommendations for strategies to enhance campaign performance.

Budget Management:
  • Manage and allocate budgets effectively, ensuring that direct marketing initiatives deliver a strong return on investment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Marketing, Business, or a related field is a plus
  • 10+ years proven experience in direct marketing, with a track record of successful campaign development.
  • 5+ years of experience managing teams in a direct marketing production environment.
  • Experience managing external marketing and creative agencies.
  • Extensive experience developing marketing campaigns around customer segmentation frameworks.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Analytical approach with proficiency in data analysis tools and a focus on results-driven decision-making.
