Provide dedicated and customized on-site retirement and investment education seminars to participants of client's defined contribution plans. Work with the client's contacts to ensure successful promotion and education of public sector employees. Frequent travel throughout assigned territory.

Essential Functions for this role include:
  • Provide group plan-specific educational presentations and workshops on the features of the client's defined contribution plans, including the existing VRS elective 457 plan, as well as the 401(a)/457 hybrid plan.
  • Provide group investment educational presentations and workshops on the features and benefits of participation in VRS defined contribution plans. Presentations include education on the importance of retirement planning, as well as a variety of investment topics, including investment strategies, diversification, investment vehicles, model asset allocation portfolios, risk vs. reward, etc.
  • Provide individual assistance (in-person, virtual, telephone) to inquiries from participants/members; process select transactions (in-person and virtual only) relative to DCP account(s) management.
  • Contact assigned employers to schedule seminars and work with them to promote attendance at the scheduled seminars.
  • Provide regular detailed reports of activity, attendance, topics, and trends.
  • Other duties as assigned.
If you have the following skills, we encourage you to apply:
  • Bachelor's degree or 3-5 years accounting, financial services or similar environment and one of year retirement plan record keeping or directly related experience.
  • 1-3 years of client-facing financial services sales and/or customer service or related experience.
  • Familiarity with the assigned territory is desirable.
  • One FINRA pre-requisite (the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam) and three FINRA licenses (Series 6, Series 63 and Series 65) are required.
  • Significant knowledge of defined benefit and defined contribution plans, including legislative regulations, and plan provisions
  • Significant knowledge of a variety of investment approaches and concepts
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively service a diverse client base.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven ability to make effective group presentations.
  • Can translate technical plan information for employees.
  • Computer proficiency (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access)
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and organize work schedule.
