Description Do you like being in an active, indoor setting? Engage with adults and children alike? Enjoy the tennis and pickleball atmosphere? Montgomery County Parks, Enterprise Division, is currently seeking dynamic, energetic, fun Tennis Instructors to fill our exciting positions at either Pauline Betz Addie Tennis Center at Cabin John Regional Park or the Wheaton Indoor Tennis Center. Tennis Instructors will be responsible for using current instructional techniques and to follow an approved curriculum. Tennis instructors must have a collaborative and professional approach with other instructors and cooperate in a teamwork environment. Tennis instructors must be willing to accept feedback from patrons and assure they are receiving the best service possible. Performance will be measured by customer surveys and Tennis Instructors are expected to create a safe, fun, and engaging learning environment for a very diverse clientele. Positions are part time and year-round. Schedules may vary depending on class schedule. Only Montgomery County Parks Tennis Instructors who teach the required minimum number of group lessons year-round will be permitted to also teach private lessons at the two indoor tennis facilities. The ideal candidate must be flexible, detail-oriented, and enjoy working with diverse groups of people of all ages, abilities, and skill levels. The incumbent will be expected to have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and good interpersonal skills. Will work closely with the Management team to increase participation at the indoor facilities and to ensure coverage of all group lesson programs and camps. Work hours are flexible to include weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Both facilities are open year-round. Examples of Important Duties

Supplemental Information These positions are seasonal (part-time) and do not include benefits. Wages are based on experience and qualifications and range from $22.00/hr to $34.00/hr. All selected candidates must display excellent customer service skills, attain First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications (training classes available) and attend in-house orientation. Ongoing continued training and internal growth opportunities available. A complete background investigation will be completed prior to hire. May be subject to medical, drug and alcohol testing. THE MARYLAND-NATIONAL CAPITAL PARK AND PLANNING COMMISSION 2025 BENEFIT SUMMARY FOR SEASONAL INTERMITTENT EMPLOYEES The following information is a summary of benefits extended to all Seasonal employees of the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC). This is for informational purposes only and is subject to change. Limited Benefits for Seasonal Employees Health Insurance Plans You are eligible for specific health insurance benefits if you worked, on average, 30 hours per week during your first 12 months of employment or from October 3rd to October 2nd each subsequent period following your first 12 months of employment. This equates to 1,560 hours over a 12-month period. If and when you are eligible for benefits, you will receive notification directly from the Health & Benefits Office. Eligible Employees Pay 35% of the health insurance plan premium and The Commission Pays 65%.
