Your Role:

The Sr. Orchestration Engineer plays a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and optimizing automated workflows and orchestration systems within an organization's IT infrastructure. Leveraging advanced scripting languages, configuration management tools, and orchestration platforms, they architect solutions to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and promote scalability across diverse environments. As a subject matter expert, they collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities, assess technical requirements, and develop robust solutions that align with business objectives.

Additionally, the Principal Orchestration Engineer provides mentorship and guidance to junior team members, ensuring best practices are followed and knowledge is effectively shared throughout the organization. Their contributions empower the automation-driven evolution of IT operations, driving continuous improvement and innovation in service delivery.

The Engineer is responsible for providing senior level expertise on decisions and priorities regarding system enhancements (software and hardware updates) that will improve the system's performance and reliability. The role will facilitate the establishment and implementation of standards and guidelines that guide the design of technology solutions. This will include implementing solutions requiring integration of multiple platforms, operating systems, and applications across the enterprise

Additionally, the Engineer will develop solutions to resolve extraordinarily complex technical and business issues as well as be recognized as the expert in systems administration who provides guidance and internal consulting expertise toward integration multiple systems. May provide guidance/training to other staff. Also develops and maintains product lifecycles for enterprise level software and hardware.

Your work: (Essential responsibilities)
  • Designs and architects' automation solutions that meet the organization's requirements. This involves understanding business needs, evaluating existing systems, and designing efficient and scalable automation workflows.
  • Selects appropriate tools and technologies for automation, orchestration, and configuration management. This includes evaluating and implementing tools.
  • Writes and maintains scripts and code to automate repetitive tasks and processes.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including DevOps, infrastructure, and development teams, to integrate automation solutions into existing workflows and processes. This requires effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively to ensure seamless integration and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Continuously monitors, optimizes, and improves automation workflows and systems. This involves finding opportunities for efficiency gains, performance improvements, and cost savings, and implementing enhancements to drive continuous improvement in automation processes.
  • Provides feedback and strategy on how to improve planned resources and capacity, risk assessments and created contingency plans.
  • Accountable for significant contributions to enterprise-wide planning efforts.
  • Facilitates the establishment and implementation of standards and guidelines for the design of technology solutions within their area of expertise.
  • This includes implementing solutions requiring integration of multiple platforms, operating systems and/or applications across the enterprise.
  • Analyzes business impact, vulnerabilities/risks as well as benefits.
  • Functions as a Project Manager's prime source for technology advice within the engineer's area of specialization and be responsible for the overall technical implementation and execution of project and performance criteria.
  • Establishes basic plans and strategy consistent with company objectives, standards, and generally accepted principles.
  • Contributes to the development and maintenance of strategy and architecture.
  • Establishes and leads projects with enterprise-wide impact.
  • Accountable for the efficiency and reliable functioning of a large and/or multiple integrated systems.
  • Provides feedback on proposed business practices for management, backup, and recovery of systems within Domain of expertise.
  • Functions as a subject matter expert to projects and implementations requiring their expertise.
  • Reviews metrics developed to assess system or product performance against best-in-class measurements.
  • Directs or coordinates communication and training.
  • Establishes operational objectives and assignments and delegates assignments to other group members.
  • Partners with other domain experts to contribute to the enterprise architecture strategy.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in related area (Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical discipline) or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 10+ years IT work experience working in multiple system environments including AWS, ServiceNow and Tanium
  • Will be working in a collaborative team environment with a professional, business-focused attitude and courteous manner towards clients, partners, and peers.
  • Contribute to product development and life cycle, written proposals and develop technical documentation including conducting workshops, seminars, training sessions and public presentations.
  • Proactively contribute to innovation efforts that support the alignment of platform and IT technologies to business requirements with focus on user experience, performance, ROI, and TCO
  • Project leadership ability includes mapping out technical and business dependencies, achievements, and timelines.

The national average salary range for this position is $152,010-$168,900. However, we have a location-based compensation structure. Our salary ranges vary and are calculated based on county of residence. The full for this position across all the states we hire in is $136,710-$202,500. This role also includes an opportunity for a company-wide annual discretionary bonus, through our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP), of up to 15% of eligible pay.
