Job Summary
The Senior Commercial Lines Account Assistant performs essential functions of the position, which include aiding Account Managers, Producers, and clients with service needs and making changes to existing accounts. Specific service/marketing renewal and new business responsibilities are required in this position. Meets service and sales standard operating procedures, while performing essential functions to the quality and service standards developed by the agency. RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential duties & responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Participate in bi-monthly renewal meetings with the Producer and Account Manager to determine marketing strategy as defined in the Commercial Lines Renewal Timeline.
- Facilitate renewal timeline process at the direction of Account Manager (Renewal Prep, Go to Market, Proposal & Bind, Policy Check & Delivery).
- Provide strong technical support to Account Manager and Producer.
- Review quotations & proposals.
- Facilitate applications in coordination with the Account Manager and Producer for marketing of new/renewal business. Include written communication/documentation as to the status of the presentation & bind order. (As needed)
- Process endorsements & policies for accuracy.
- Certificate and Evidence of Insurance processing - Renewal and interim Requests.
- Prepare Renewal Update Overview and Proposals for presentation according to agency procedures & Producer request.
- Assist clients with tendering property and casualty claims through Barkley's internal P&C claims liaison.
- Ensure timely & accurate workflow.
- Maintain client management system file to include current application per attachments, activities, & ongoing policy changes throughout the policy year.
- Attend educational programs that will enhance the breadth of the scope of the department.
- Adhere to all rules & regulations of the organization.
- Ensure that the company's management principles, policies & procedures are consistently practiced.
- Ensure optimum performance of the function. Recommends & implements techniques to improve productivity, increase efficiencies, cut costs, & take advantage of opportunities.
- Act within scope of authority & consistent with company objectives, guidelines, policies & procedures.
