Summary The ideal candidate will have experience working in a Physical Security environment assisting in the issuance of badges and credentials and assisting senior security personnel with various tasks related to safeguarding personnel, property, systems and assets. Duties What will I do in this position if hired? This position is located in the NETC Management, Operations and Support Services Division (MOSS), U.S. Fire Administration (USFA), Federal Emergency Management (FEMA), Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in Emmitsburg, Maryland. In this position, you will performs assignments in relation to creating and directing the creation of requests for investigations used to determine the suitability, reliability, integrity, trustworthiness and loyalty of FEMA employees, applicants for employment, Federal contractors and other designated personnel who will work with or have access to sensitive or classified information, resources, and material which could adversely affect national security, the public welfare, or the efficiency of the Federal service. Requirements Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service. The time-in-grade and qualification requirements must be met within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. To qualify for this position at the GS-09 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience may be obtained in the federal government, a state or local government, or private sector, and must demonstrate the following:
