Flexible Location

TNTP seeks two full-time Senior Managers, Fundraising for TNTP's Fundraising Team. One s enior m anager will manage a national por tfolio, and the other senior manager will lead a r egional portfolio . Each position will be based in a home office anywhere in the U.S. and is ava ilable immediately . Travel for team and organizational meetings a few ti mes a ye ar may be required .

At TNTP, fundraising means strategically identifying and cultivating relationships with organizations and individuals that will allow us to help as many students as possible access opportunities for upward mobility. With a total portfolio of over $20M in grants and donations, TNTP leverages philanthropic revenue to pilot new work, scale proven approaches, and influence the field. TNTP has a strong track record and deep relationships with institutional funders, especially in the PK-12 education field. The Fundraising Team has expanded in recent years to keep pace with overall organizational growth and increased opportunities to engage local and regional funders nationwide. While there is ample opportunity to expand its relationships with institutional grant makers , TNTP is also interested in diversifying its philanthropic revenue to include individual, corporate and other sources of philanthropic funding in the coming years .

WHAT YOU'LL DO

The Fundraising Team collaborates across TNTP's geographic regions and organizational divisions to build investment pipelines that support our highest priorities.

As Senior Manager, you will work closely with a Partner or Director on the Fundraising Team and focus on the portfolio of current and prospective funders who are investing in the organization's efforts at a regional or national leve l .

As Senior Manager, you will-in collaboration with a Fundraising Director or Partner-strategically partner with leaders across multiple divisions of the organization to guide each stage of the funder cultivation cycle. Activities aligned with this work include (but are not limited to) conducting prospect research/philanthropic landscape analyses, engaging in and tracking funder cultivation efforts, developing/writing proposals, and managing funder stewardship and reporting requirements. You will report to and collaborate closely with a Fundraising Director or Partner who manages a portfolio of current and prospective funders and sets fundraising strategy for their regions/divisions. The Senior Manager role focuses on the collaborative execution of their regions'/divisions' strategies .

Some responsibilities and duties may vary, but the role of Senior Man ager, Fundraising includes:

  • Collaborate with program leaders and the Fundraising Director and/ or Fun draising Partner to develop and execute annual fundraising plans
  • Conduct prospect research that identifies foundations, corporations, and individuals that align with one or more of TNTP's strategic priorities and conduct research that evaluates the philanthropic landscape in a particular state or community and/or broader trends in philanthropy
  • Orchestrate and execute effective funder cultivation through strong portfolio management, including preparing meeting materials, entering key data in Salesforce (TNTP's CRM), and coaching program staff on building and sustaining strong funder relationships .
  • Enhance organizational fundraising knowledge and capacity by creating and contributing to resources and facilitating trainings .
  • Manage the proposal development, review, and submission processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality, compelling applications .
  • Oversee the review and execution of grant agreements
  • Coordinate with a Fundraising Manager to monitor awarded grants' reporting requirements, ensuring the highest standards of grant compliance and funder stewardship.
  • Provide general writing, editing,and otherfundercommunications support


WHAT YOU HAVE

Qualifications and Experiences

We are looking for a candidate to possess the following skills and expertise :

  • 4-5 years of fundraising experience-experience managing a portfolio of funder/donors strongly preferred;
  • Experience building private funding revenue pipelines from multiple sources-esp. in contexts where there is not an existing donor base
  • Strong command of fundraising best practices and the ability to adapt that knowledge to fit unique organizational contexts
  • Evidence of strong cross-team collaboration skills, the ability to manage up, and executing deliverables through working with multiple stakeholder relationships;
  • Excellent written communication skills with a demonstrated track record of communicating effectively with diverse audiences; experience managing/writing grant proposals and reports strongly preferred
  • Experience using CRMs to track funder relationships; Salesforce experience a plus
  • Professional fluency in English and Spanish (preferred).

Applies experiences, observations and trends to support greater Fundraising strategy, inform team direction, and shape regional/division national strategy application. Candidate understands funder points of view and priorities to skillfully position proposals and presentations to anticipate questions and articulate TNTP's work and impact, especially when creating written communications .
  • Operations Experience. Candidate has experience with fundraising operations and is adept at, and has interest in, creating systems and processes to support effective implementation of fundraising strategy.
  • Problem Solving: Candidate can assess the big picture, analyze root causes, and define new ways forward. Focuses on asking right questions to understand regional/stakeholder context or funder positioning and recommends solutions that balance national strategy with stakeholder needs and organizational impact. Candidate critically assesses challenges, leverages resources, and proposes creative, effective solutions .
  • Cross Cultural Agility: Authentic self-reflection, self-awareness, and high emotional IQ actively leveraged both to support a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion internally and to position TNTP fundraising efforts and communications with a commitment to lifting the experiences of the students and families we serve .
  • Strategic Prioritization: Consistently manages complex, high-stakes projects with multiple stakeholders and tight timelines, including events. Effectively adjusts priorities to meet a fast-paced and at-times ambiguous environment. Candidate navigates inherent uncertainty in creating and implementing strategy and systems that are new to the org and is comfortable proactively managing up when priorities shift.


WHAT WE OFFER

TNTP offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience in a similar position with the potential for an annual performance-based bonus. The salary range for this position is $ 72,800-$109,200 . Ne w hires are typically brought into the organization at a salary between the range minimum and the salary range midpoint at the following ranges ( $72,800- $91,000 ) depending on qualifications, internal equity, and the budgeted amount for the role.

Our 403(b)-retirement plan has up to 7% matching contribution, as well as free financial planning and coaching services, and up to $600/year payment towards qualifying student loans . TNTP also provides fully paid life insurance, parenting benefits, lifestyle spending accounts, up to 12 weeks of fully paid medical leave, generous vacation time, commuter benefits, referral bonuses, and professional development. New employees start with 5 sick/personal days, accrue 15 days of vacation during their first year of employment, and receive approximately 24 paid holidays each year-including a Winter Break the last 2-weeks of December. We also provide a one-time home office start-up stipend of up to $1,100 and annual refresher amounts of up to $250/year, a TNTP-provided laptop and cell phone, and a home office stipend of $135/month .
