Resp & Qualifications PURPOSE: CareFirst runs a year-round internship program. The ideal candidate is someone who can work throughout the year up to 15-20 hours in the Spring/Fall and 30-40 hours in the summer. This particular internship is an on-site opportunity working out of our Cumberland, MD office. The department is responsible for providing analytical support for existing systems as well as participating in the design and implementation of new systems to ensure claims and service applications are operating effectively and efficiently to achieve departmental goals and objectives. The department provides support to other CareFirst departments in conjunction with department supervisors to ensure continuous improvement to job knowledge, quality, and productivity to better serve CareFirst customers. PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Education Level: This position requires an individual working towards at least a Bachelor's degree from an accredited College or University. Experience: Junior or Senior Undergraduate student targeting majors in Business Administration, Project Management or related field studies with a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or above.
