Job Introduction
Are you interested in an internship that will allow you to gain hands-on experience and apply what you've learned in the classroom to a real work environment? Our internship program is designed to provide current college students interested in a career in consumer goods with a unique opportunity to learn firsthand about the diverse business operations of William Grant & Sons.

Our paid summer internship is an 11-week program from June 3 to August 16, 2024. This internship will be on-site 3 days a week, maximum of 29 hours per week, located in our New York City office.

This is a non-exempt role, $25 - $30 per hour.

Main Responsibility
Accountabilities:
  • Own an individual project with strategic business impact throughout the 11-weeks and present the project to senior leaders and assigned team toward the end of the program.
  • Use data analysis and optimization tools to execute process improvement solutions for national commercial accounts.
  • In support of assigned projects:
    • Interact with multiple functions and team members within our US team.
    • Track and analyse data to help develop recommendations:
      • C-store channel strategy
      • Size of opportunity by channel
      • Coupon strategy: Paper vs Digital (Ibotta, etc)
      • Pricing strategy
      • Inventory analytics
      • Monitor execution
    • Review existing procedure, identify the absence of key procedures, and pose recommendations and solutions
    • Help with creating reports and presentation decks.
  • Recap partnership on national wide program on a specific brand and provide recommendations on improvement.
  • Participate and prepare the agenda for weekly calls and assist with follow up on action items.

Our Ideal Candidate
Skills and Qualifications:
  • At least 21 years of age
  • Applicants must be lawfully authorized to work in the U.S. WG&S does not offer visa or student visa sponsorship.
  • Currently enrolled in a 4-year college or university in their Senior year pursuing a Bachelor's degree or in a Graduate level degree program with relevant coursework in business/communications, analytics, eCommerce, marketing or similar field
  • Solid knowledge and experience utilizing MS Excel, Word, Power Point
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Embodies a strong work ethic and attention to detail and is self-motivated.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple projects and assignments.
  • Agile, flexible, and responsive
  • Eager to learn and a team player
