Your Role:

As a Senior Manager - Product Delivery, you are responsible for driving the design and delivery of CSAA's agent-facing sales platforms with end users across multiple distribution channels. In close partnership with stakeholders in Technology, Product, Marketing, and Partner AAA Clubs, you and your team of direct reports will lead multiple enterprise initiatives aimed at making it easy for agents and customers to do business with AAA. Design and development of quote, bundle, and purchase experiences must squarely address the end user's needs in product features and preferences for product design. The management of both experience and underwriting levers to achieve company targets is paramount. Together, we will deliver modern products, competitive prices, and top-tier experiences for our customers and agents.

Based on depth of product and business acumen, may assume special duties to manage a new product platform with no direct reports.

Your Work:

Product Delivery
  • Shape and execute the strategy for agent-facing sales platforms (including comparative raters) and execute actions required to achieve this strategy.
  • Continually develop design for products' flawless delivery through multiple distribution channels (branch agents, call center agents, and independent agents).
  • Continually seeks to understand end user preferences and competitive marketplace to develop product features and delivery methods relevant to the current and future needs of end users.
  • Drive elegant design for ease of use by all stakeholders (internal and external).
  • Provide marketable opportunities for stakeholders while ensuring our experiences outperform the competition.
  • Identify and execute on opportunities to streamline processes, implement advanced technologies, and enhance risk assessment methodologies.
  • Assess, select, and implement cutting-edge software and tools, including artificial intelligence, machine learning and data analytic solutions.
  • Continuously design and enhance versions of existing CSAA IG experiences. Enhancements should focus not only on traditional product performance measures but also feedback from intended users impacted by the product's design.
  • Ensure the team possesses robust reporting and analytical capabilities to effectively monitor performance and provide transparency across the organization.

Strategic Innovation and Growth
  • Provides strategic organizational direction and develops long-range plans that impact a major area of the organization/company.
  • Provides consulting and recommendations to senior management for future products.
  • May Interact directly with highest levels of management in the company including the board of directors
  • Leads cross-functional stakeholders and support teams towards business objectives
  • Develops acquisition and retention strategies to achieve business objectives.
  • Create and submit high quality, timely business roadmaps to the Delivery team.
  • Proficiently develop Cost-Benefit Analyses (CBA) and present them to leadership, fostering collaboration with Finance to ensure accurate projections and informed decision-making.
  • Work in close coordination with Value Stream Leads and the Product Delivery Advisory Board.

Market Execution
  • Work with Distribution, Servicing, State Product Management, and IT to implement product changes via changes and guidelines to effectively achieve our performance targets.
  • Develops, modifies, and executes policies and procedures.
  • Develops methodology and initiates changes to policies and guidelines which affect work, schedules, and budgets.
  • Makes final decisions on administrative, strategic, or operational matters and ensures effective achievement of objectives.
  • Establishes operational objectives, work plans, delegates assignments and holds staff accountable for performance results.
  • Approves pricing structure and changes.

Leadership
  • Hire and develop high performing, highly engaged team. Ensure product and process expertise among direct reports and be responsible for their product training.
  • Provides guidance and leadership to staff.
  • Responsible for hiring decisions, performance planning (e.g. Individual Development Plan); approves salary actions, Enterprise Incentive Plan recommendations for staff; performance management, including approving involuntary termination.
  • Provides ongoing coaching, feedback and mentoring for product management team(s) under his or her direction.
  • Develops high performing individuals and a high-performance organization.

Required Experience & Education
  • Bachelor's degree in related area (Marketing, business, or a related field) or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 10+ years of progressively more responsible assignments within the P&C industry
  • 10+ years of increasingly responsible P&C product management experience
  • 5+ years leading P&C Product Management Teams
  • 5+ years of increasingly responsible product development and/or leadership experience with demonstrated success in delivering new products and features from concept to launch.
  • At least three to five years (or more) as a Product Owner/Manager or equivalent role.
  • Extensive experience in agency sales platform experience

  • Excellent understanding business/technology systems and processes and how they link together
  • Advanced degree in related field and/or CPCU designation

  • Must be able to lead through influence, rather than authority only. Collaborative and community oriented.
  • Travels as needed for role, including divisional / team meetings and other in-person meetings.

The national average salary range for this position is $151,000-$168,000. However, we have a location-based compensation structure. Our salary ranges vary and are calculated based on county of residence. The full salary range for this position across all the states we hire in is $136,000-$200,000. This role also includes an opportunity for a company-wide annual discretionary bonus, through our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP), of up to 18% of eligible pay.
