Your Role:

Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) serves as trusted strategic advisors to our business partners, providing financial counsel that drives sustainable and profitable growth for the organization. This role supports our rapidly growing Commercial Lines division that offers commercial insurance built from the ground up to meet the unique needs of the mobility market, and provide creative, technology-driven insurance solutions that protect business needs.

Your work:
  • Monthly Close & Analytics: lead monthly close process through monthly reporting and analytics of Commercial Lines P&L and operational expense analytics of the Commercial Lines division.
  • Planning & Forecasting: lead Commercial Lines division quarterly forecasting and 3-year planning process partnering with Commercial Lines team to build our financial plans and forecasts and deliver actionable insights into our plans, forecasts and operational expense budgets. Lead implementation of Hyperion Planning model for Commercial Lines.
  • Management Reporting: support management reporting and complex analyses of Commercial Lines P&L, Balance Sheet, Reinsurance and operational expenses of the Commercial Lines division.
  • Financial Modeling: partner with senior leaders in decision making process through ongoing business partnering and proactively providing strategic recommendations. Lead business case development with Commercial Product and Commercial IT teams assessing key assumptions, risk and opportunities and their corresponding financial impacts. Complex financial modeling to ensure investments in profitable growth.
  • FP&A Transformation: continued support of our FP&A transformation initiatives highlighting areas of opportunity for the organization to deliver deeper insights and improve efficiency and effectiveness of the organization actively participating in the development and delivery of supporting tools and processes.

Required Experience, Education and Skills
  • 7+ Years experience working in Financial Planning and Analysis, or similar role in P&C insurance.
  • 5+ Years Commercial lines P&C insurance experience; preferably with Mobility/Sharing Economy and/or Reinsurance/TPA expertise.
  • Bachelor's degree in related area (Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or equivalent experience and education) or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Industry Expertise: Understands the dynamics of the Commercial Lines insurance industry and can apply to ongoing financial analytics, planning and forecasting process.
  • Financial Expertise: Demonstrated understanding of the interconnectedness of the P&L and other financial statements. Ability to apply that expertise to financial modeling and analytics. Experience with operational expense reporting and budgeting.
  • Business Partnering: Ability to partner with senior leaders across the organization to understand strategic priorities and influence strategic decision making in support of achieving financial goals. Supports business partners with a sense of urgency, desire to learn about the business and proactively provide recommendations.
  • Storytelling: Demonstrated ability to clearly and concisely explain financial results through visuals and simple explanations of operational and financial drivers for board of director and C-suite level reporting.
  • Technical: Demonstrated ability to operate with planning and reporting software (preferably Oracle cloud-based planning and Smartview), build simple reporting and diagnostic solutions to support ongoing analytics, and understanding of data management and governance principles.

The national average salary range for this position is $129,780-$144,200. However, we have a location-based compensation structure. Our salary ranges vary and are calculated based on county of residence. The full salary range for this position across all the states we hire in is $116,910-$173,200. This role also includes an opportunity for a company-wide annual discretionary bonus, through our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP), of up to 12% of eligible pay.
