The Chief of Staff is charged with maximizing the effectiveness of the Office of Equity and Inclusion through strategic planning, change management, digital transformation and OEI professional development. The Chief of Staff is deputy to the Vice President for Equity and Inclusion and ensures that the Vice President is positioned for success regarding scheduling, communications, administration, and workflow. The ideal candidate for the Chief of Staff to the Vice President for Equity and Inclusion/Chief Diversity Officer will bring 7 to 10 years of related experience in a leadership role, higher education, academic medicine or related functional area. This individual possesses solid demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so. The ideal candidate will exemplify collaborative/cross functional skill sets, possess the ability to embrace and drive change and has demonstrated experience performing analysis of complex programs and implementing large-scale changes for improvement. Candidates will also need to demonstrate their ability to maintain the highest levels of confidentiality and discretion when dealing with sensitive information.
