Resp & Qualifications PURPOSE: Ideal candidate is an experienced account executive with exceptional skills to manage CareFirsts national account clients. This position is responsible for renewing/growing a book business which includes more complex accounts with medical, pharmacy, ancillary and specialty products. This position drives revenue and manages current, as well as prospective relationships to ensure success. The position is expected to lead sales initiatives and strategies for their assigned book of business. Achieves sales and revenue/profitability objectives by effectively managing existing accounts and transitioning new business clients. Work Location: Work from home opportunity. Candidate is expected to be in the office for division and department meetings as well as other periodic training and collaboration activities. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: Position does not have direct reports but is expected to assist in guiding and mentoring less experienced staff. May lead a team of matrixed resources. QUALIFICATIONS: Education Level: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance or related field OR in lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience. Experience: 10 years sales/healthcare. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a similar sales position with a competitor or another Blue Cross Blue Shield plan is preferred. Licenses/Certifications: Current health and life license for the jurisdictions of Maryland, DC, and Virginia Required. Salary Range: $96,000 - $156,000 (salaries are based on education, experience & internal equity and may include sales incentive) Travel Requirements: Estimate Amount: 25% This position is expected to travel to see clients and prospective clients as needed.
