Carlisle Weatherproofing Technologies, a worldwide leading diversified manufacturer of premium building products and related technology has immediate openings for a General Operator at its Wylie, TX location. The General Operator will take a hands-on role in the production of liquid-applied and sprayable duct sealants, industrial grade duct tape, and other liquid waterproofing and insulation barrier products.

Shifts available & pay rate:

Starting Pay: $20.81

Permanent Shift: 4:00 P.M. - 4:30 A.M.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Adhere to all safety regulations.
  • Operate production equipment and packaging equipment.
  • Follow written instructions on production tickets.
  • Move and prep raw materials or finished materials using a forklift or pallet jack.
  • Monitor packaging materials and reload queues as necessary.
  • Package and label finished products.
  • Deliver waste to waste containment area.
  • Maintain good housekeeping and workplace organization (5S/Lean Manufacturing).
  • Other duties as assigned.

Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.

Requirements

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to follow instructions and read production orders.
  • Ability to read measuring gauges such as a tape measure, scales, and calipers.
  • Understanding basic math, reading, and writing skills.
  • Strong verbal communication and listening skills.
  • Basic computer experience a plus.
  • Forklift experience a plus.

Work Environment:

This position is in a warehouse-type facility subject to ambient and outside temperatures, exposure to loud machinery, dust, and mechanical parts. Work surfaces are primarily concrete, and operators will stand while performing their respective job functions. Business is cyclical and will require flexibility in the days of the week worked. This position typically works 12-hour shifts, including weekends, with two rotating days off.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 80 pounds occasionally.
  • Repetitive use of hands required with simple grasping, pushing, and pulling.
  • Position requires standing, walking, lifting, reaching above shoulders, bending, & twisting.
