Foreign Service Limited Position Opportunity Program Officer (Donor Coordination Specialist), FL-0343-02 Agency: U.S. Agency for International Development Organization: Bureau for Asia, Office of Strategic Planning and Operations (ASIA/SPO) Location of Position: Washington, DC Open Period: 04/11/2024-05/02/2024 (3 weeks) Appointment Type: This is an excepted service, time-limited appointment, not to exceed 5 years; may be considered for 2 two-year extensions depending on the needs of the Service Salary: (USD) $132,860 - $191,900 / per year Position is telework eligible Number of Vacancies: 1 Description of Organization: The Asia Bureau provides overall leadership for Agency programs across the Asia and Pacific region. The vast and diverse region covers East, Southeast, South, Central Asia and the Pacific. USAID programs focus on building democratic institutions and processes, increasing access to quality education and workforce training, increasing trade, investment and productivity, improving the management and sustainable use of natural resources, and improving health, population, and nutrition. The Asia Bureau is responsible for overall strategic planning in the region and program coordination with other U.S. Government agencies, regional multilateral development banks, and private organizations and supports the work of 20 USAID field Missions. Duties and Responsibilities: The Donor Coordination Specialist position in ASIA is critical to Asia Bureau efforts to strategically engage allies and partners to address global challenges in Asia in alignment with the National Security Strategy and the Indo-Pacific Strategy. This position will ensure close coordination on donor engagement with established bilateral partners such as Australia, Japan, South Korea, and New Zealand; work with multilateral institutions such as the Quad, ASEAN, and the Asia Development Bank; advance partnerships with emerging donor partners such as India and Thailand; and engage relevant philanthropies and foundations. Qualifications: To qualify for the position of Program Officer (Donor Coordination Specialist) FL-0343-02, you must possess the required specialized experience specific to the series and grade you are applying to.
