Resp & Qualifications PURPOSE: CareFirst is undertaking an IT Systems Modernization Program that involves a migration to cloud, upgrades to modern infrastructure and consolidation of applications. To support these programs, there is additional focus on IT Process Maturing, Systems Resiliency and Disaster Recovery. The Disaster Recovery Program requires a similar journey of modernization and requires a leader who can lead CareFirst to this destination. The IT Disaster Recovery (DR) Manager role bridges the IT department with the Business Continuity Management function in Enterprise Risk Management. The primary responsibility is to position IT systems for a more resilient posture. The secondary responsibility is to formulate, test, and maintain disaster recovery plans for IT systems. This role collaborates with various technology disciplines, ensuring alignment with enterprise-focused Business Continuity efforts. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: This position manages people. QUALIFICATIONS: Education Level: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field OR in lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience. Experience: 5 years Related professional experience. 1 year Supervisory experience or demonstrated progressive leadership experience. Preferred Qualifications:
