Join us as a Senior Homeowner Claims Large Loss Adjuster and put these beliefs into play every single day! Please note that this is a remote position located in California, Arizona, or Nevada. Travel will be required. Essential responsibilities Responsible for full ownership of 1st-party property losses without limit and has settlement authority up to $150,000 in structural damage. Handles claims up to policy limits for all 1st-party coverages. May handle desk claims. Provides direction regarding the investigation of the loss and will work with representatives from SIU and Subrogation as needed in completing this task; responsible for providing recommendations to management pertinent to these losses. Works with insureds, contractors, public adjusters and attorneys to resolve highly complex claims to conclusion. Responsible for developing structural repair bids using Xactimate. May handle multiple states and must understand the laws and regulations of each. Assesses building damage, decides the scope of necessary repairs and writes an estimate to rebuild the home. Negotiates with insureds, contractors, engineers and public adjusters to arrive at an agreed cost-of-repair. Consults with outside legal counsel on complex coverage issues. May be required to respond to catastrophe situations outside of normal work area. What would make us excited about you BA/BS or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficient with Xactimate repair estimating system. In-depth understanding of the home repair process. Outstanding analytical, problem solving, customer service and negotiation skills. Effective organizational and time management skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. 5+ years claims file handling and homeowner field experience required. 3+ years handling total loss home claims. Xactimate or similar estimating system writing large estimates experience strongly preferred. Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record. Ability to acquire DOI adjusting license in the states where required. CSAA Insurance Group is an equal opportunity employer. The national average hourly pay range for this position is $47.99 - $50.65. However, we have a location-based compensation structure. Our salary ranges vary and are calculated based on county of residence. The full hourly rate range for this position across all the states we hire in is $43.23 - $64.04. This role also includes an opportunity for a company-wide annual discretionary bonus, through our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP), of up to 12% of eligible pay.
