Description

Are you ready to adapt and innovate at pace? AstraZeneca is seeking a Distribution Area lead for NAM for North America. This position leads a team responsible for Distribution and Warehousing for the US market. As a leader, you will manage relationships with AstraZeneca's third-party distribution partners and provide customer service to Market Company (MC). You will work cross-functionally to drive continuous improvements, issue resolution, and deployment that add value to AZ and its customers and patients.

What you will do:
  • Oversee the coordination of logistics activities with AZ Supply Chain partners and manage relationships with 3rd Party Logistics providers.
  • Ensure that providers meet their contractual obligations with AstraZeneca and oversee the activities of AZ's third-party vendors responsible for executing 1st line monitoring and auditing activities to support PDMA compliance and required federal and state reporting.
  • Responsible for deploying finished goods inventories across the distribution channel to ensure exceptional Customer Service.
  • Direct, manage, and develop direct and indirect reports.
  • Ensure global compliance with all US and applicable regulatory requirements of the storage and distribution of pharmaceutical materials to minimize the risk of supply chain interruptions and ensure the continued flow of product supply.
  • Lead all SoX-related controls and processes related to the Warehousing, Inventory Management, and Dispatch Goods processes. Coordinate resources and associated control owners to ensure effective monthly SOX compliance.
  • Oversee execution of budget deliverables related to 3rd party logistics providers and internal distribution costs.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Logistics/Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or other relevant discipline
  • Minimum of 3 years of managerial experience
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in various aspects of pharmaceutical operations, supply, and manufacturing, customer products distribution, logistics or sales and marketing
  • Demonstrated understanding of supply chain, order fulfillment, and logistics planning concepts
  • Knowledge of applicable regulatory guidelines for pharmaceutical manufacture, transportation, and distribution
  • Demonstrated analytical skills and overall business acumen
  • Demonstrated interpersonal, communication, organizational negotiation, strategic planning, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to effectively interact with all levels within AZ functional areas, with AZ vendors, and with external regulatory authorities.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • APICS CTLD certification, or equivalent
  • Extensive knowledge of supply chain principles: PDMA, GMP, GDP, Regulatory.
