PURPOSE:
CareFirst is undertaking a digital transformation which requires enterprise agility paired with the retooling of our technology stack to speed delivery and expand our reach. The IT Core Technology Services organization is leading this charge by advancing our operating model across the organization. To drive this transformation, the Project Coordinator supports all team-wide activities related to strategic planning, performance metrics & analytics, budget forecasts and tracking, compliance reporting, vendor renewal tracking and continuous improvement initiatives. This role will assist senior leadership in the development of goals and monitors progress toward goals across the team. In addition, participate in cross-value stream efforts and acts as liaison to communicate activities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Support Strategic Planning:
  • Consult with Value Streams, Platform teams, Cybersecurity and Business Units to understand roadmaps. Use this information to support the identification, documentation and communication of annual goals and objectives.
  • Facilitate workshops as necessary to drive team planning efforts.
  • Enable continuous improvement by interacting with Value Stream teams and cross-functional stakeholders at all levels, conduct gap analysis and recommend improvement backlog.
  • Support Lean Portfolio Management best practices to enable business agility across value streams.
  • Support value stream and functional teams in the definition and iterative improvement of metrics that provide insights for continuous improvement.
  • Support the development and continuous improvement of executive performance reporting materials and associated action plans.
  • Support scheduling and orchestration of cross team/cross partner meetings.
Support Organization Development Efforts:
  • Support early-in-career teams by enabling cross-value stream events and leadership mentoring activities.
  • Lead employee engagement activities as required.
  • Drive continuous improvement mindset, ensure feedback loop to listen, communicate, and experiment with improvements.
  • Support leaders to develop and maintain a highly engaged team that is collaborative, with a high-performance culture.
  • Support leadership cadences including town hall presentations, listening sessions and other engagement activities.
Operational Excellence:
  • Drive monthly finance requirements including review of actuals against forecast, support the updating of forecasts, and managing accruals across the team.
  • Support development of Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) across the team. Establish dashboards to track and report progress.
  • Support leadership meetings by managing and driving agenda topics, ensuring organizational commitments are communicated and achieved on-time across the team.
  • Engage in proactive problem-solving including problem identification, definition, analysis and recommendation as an individual producer and as a catalyst in small group settings.
  • Support tracking and reporting on vendor service level agreements and scorecards.
  • Support production and delivery of team dashboards.
  • Lead internal initiatives to defined success criteria.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education Level: Bachelor's Degree in Project Management, Business or related field OR in lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience.

Experience: 1 year project related experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2 years experience in business, healthcare environment, health insurance payor environment.
  • 2 years related project management experience in a large scale, cross functional, multi-system environment.
  • Experience in the Information Technology discipline is preferred, but not required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Proficient in project planning.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and critical thinking skills.

Salary Range: $46,512 - $92,378

Travel Requirements:
Estimate Amount: 1-2 days per month.
