Job Overview

A strong conceptual thinker, you'll develop campaigns that bring our brand narratives to life, and create real desire for our products and services. Adept at branding and creative strategy, you'll translate business objectives into effective marketing solutions. You'll lead teams of talented designers, photographers & stylists to develop inspiring editorial, design, and photographic concepts & oversee the execution.

Curious, innovative, and a strong conceptual thinker, you'll look for ways to break boundaries. You have a strong design background with expert typographic knowledge, and have your finger on the pulse of current creative industry trends. You thrive on the collaboration and healthy debate that leads to great work, and inspire both peers and project teams with innovative thinking. Through mastery of our distinctive visual identity & best practices, you'll develop persuasive design solutions that strengthen our brand across traditional & exciting new media & digital content.

Besides collaborating with copywriters, you'll work primarily with partners in the Creative, Digital Experience, Marketing, Comms Planning, Project Management, & Photo Studio teams.

Responsibilities

• Leads major campaign development from brief to conceptualization and execution.

• Leads project teams to develop editorial, design and photo concepts for events and campaigns.

• Develops creative pitches to effectively articulate ideas and gain support & alignment from leadership.

• Directs casting, styling, hair & makeup direction prior to shoots.

• Directs crew of photographers, stylists and hair & makeup on location and in studio as required.

• Leads monthly wireframing and editorial planning.

• Ensures all creative work meets brand identity guidelines, reflects our customer's diversity as well as design and fashion trends, and is grounded in an ongoing awareness of our competition.

• Evaluates creative briefs to ensure clarity and alignment on direction before work begins, and collaborates with copywriters and other creatives to align on creative strategy.

• Researches to drive innovation, from new fashion and promotional ideas to new digital content and experiences.

• Combines a deep understanding of design systems, grids, color, typography and photography to deliver clear and powerful messages.

• Plans, prioritizes and produces a high volume of work - takes ownership from start to finish.

• Meets deadlines and proactively communicates status of projects to partners and leaders.

• Inspires others through an innovative approach to design, ideation & ways of working.

• Brings energy & enthusiasm to the team through participation in celebrations, peer mentoring, volunteering and fundraising events.

Qualifications

• We encourage candidates with either a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field to apply.

• 6+ years of experience in advertising design or relevant design discipline

• Portfolio demonstrating design and advertising communications excellence

• Photo art direction experience required

• Retail experience preferred, but not required

• Expert in Adobe Creative Suite - XD, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator

• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs - Outlook, Teams, Powerpoint, Word
