Job Description

In this compelling leadership position, you will be accountable for providing strategic direction to the Enterprise Resilience, Operations and Workplace organization and partnering with the VP of Strategy & Performance, as well as the overall leadership team of the organization, on the transformation of business and technology operations capabilities. This mandate will include efforts to automate, optimize and continuously improve the way we conduct transitions with and for our customers while mitigating risks.

THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE

The Director, Operations Strategy role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:
  • Guide a team of analysts to generate insights through high quality descriptive analytics, leading to identification of risks and opportunities that shape or influence strategic initiatives.
  • Coordinate the development and implementation of strategic goals and vision across all the business units that constitute the Enterprise Resilience, Operations and Workplace organization.
  • Oversee strategy development, strategic plan formulation, and the execution and monitoring of the progress towards the desired end state.
  • Assist, if needed, in the day-to-day operations activities, including financial analysis and modeling, forecasting, talent strategy and management, governance, and negotiation. Direct the development or implementation of new processes and/or updating existing processes related to the Strategy function.
  • Direct the process to identify resources to support strategic goals and new initiatives, as well as ensure the implementation of new resources.
  • Collaborate with the Leadership Team on the continuous, strategic multiyear roadmap of Operations, specifically ensuring stable, secure, compliant, and resilient Operations Services.
  • Manage a team of 5 to 10 Associates (project managers and analysts) with accountability to develop and retain top talent.

Qualifications

THE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING TO THE TEAM

Minimum Required Experiences
  • 8 years of work experience in a strategy or consulting role.
  • Skills in data analysis, interpretation, and visualization with the ability to present to a non-technical audience.
  • Experience in helping an organization plan and manage change in effort to meet strategic objectives. Skilled in presenting information and/or ideas to an audience in a way that is engaging and easy to understand.
  • Experience identifying and selecting strategic opportunities and identifying resources to meet the defined objectives.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; represents points of view with clarity and balance and is empathetic to others' perspectives.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.

Desired Experiences
  • Experience in supporting an Operations group or area within financial services.
  • Business Insight skills including advising, designing business models, interpreting customer and market insights, forecasting, benchmarking, etc.
  • Skilled in the graphical representation of information in the form of a charts, diagrams, pictures, and dashboards with programs and tools such as Excel, Tableau, or Power BI.
  • Influencing skills including negotiating, persuading others, facilitating meetings, and resolving conflict.
  • Proven experience with Relationship Management including managing and engaging stakeholders, customers, and vendors, building relationship networks, contracting, etc.
  • Previous experience at a company focused on risk and controls, including evaluating and designing controls, conducting impact assessments, identifying control gaps, remediating risk, etc.
  • Master's degree in quantitative discipline preferred.
