    Position Overview: Colorguard- Director
    Length of stipend: Fall Season

    The Burnsville High School Color Guard is a part of the Marching Band program, and they perform together at football games, local parades, and other events. The Marching Band is a non-competitive group that focuses on school spirit and community engagement. Candidates should be skilled in teaching flags, rifles, and elements of dance.

    The season runs from June-October. There are weekly or twice-weekly practices in June and July, band camp in August, and then twice-weekly practices during the school year.

    The position is not required to write any of the choreography but can for an additional stipend.

    An ideal candidate should be comfortable working as a part of our larger marching band staff team.
