The following are the duties of this position at the full working level.

Information Technology Specialist (Systems Administration)

Review proposed new systems, networks, and software designs for potential security risks, develop and implement migration strategies or countermeasures, and resolve integration issues related to the implementation of new systems within the existing infrastructure.

Generate and run simulation models for future applications and evaluate and verify impacts on the current and planned CI enterprise IT architecture.

Develop and implement a national plan for installing new products or equipment, resolving installation problems, and maintaining server integrity and availability, including planning for continuity of operations during the deployment of new server technology.

Computer Operations Administrator (COA)

Develop and implement migration strategies including planning for continuity of operations during the deployment of new server technology.

Generate and run simulation models for future applications, and evaluate and verify impacts on the current and planned enterprise IT architecture.

Develop and present plans for integrating new server technology into existing architecture.

Plan and coordinate the installation, configuration, maintenance, and upgrade of enterprise management software and related enterprise-level changes to the systems infrastructure.

Plan, implement, and manage problem management systems designed to effectively recognize, report, track, and resolve problems; and evaluate the feasibility of adapting new methods to enhance customer satisfaction.

Senior Computer Specialist - Criminal Investigation (CI) Hotline

Provides guidance and assistance on the entire range of technical issues.

Independently, or as a team leader, undertakes technically complex projects/studies for Criminal
Investigation requiring coordination across functional lines Service wide and overseas.

Serves as a technical lead/contact providing assistance to customers on multi-user systems and/or client
server applications. Identifies and analyzes trends in systemic and software applications problems, advises
on various methods of improving application usability, documentation, implementation plans, and customer
education

  • Telework Eligible Positions: Telework eligible positions do not guarantee telework.   • This position requires that the successful candidate undergo personnel vetting, which includes a background investigation and enrollment upon onboarding into "Continuous Vetting." Enrollment in Continuous Vetting will result in automated record checks being conducted throughout one's employment with Treasury. The successful candidate will also be enrolled into FBI's Rap Back service, which will allow Treasury to receive notification from the FBI of criminal matters (e.g., arrests, charges, convictions) involving enrolled individuals in near real-time. Qualifications

Federal experience is not required. The experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector or Volunteer Service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-timework is considered on a prorated basis. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: BASIC REQUIREMENTS ALL GRADES:
Experience must include Information Technology (IT) related experience that demonstrates each of the following four competencies: 1) Attention to Detail, 2) Customer Service, 3) Oral Communication and 4) Problem Solving.

GS-13 LEVEL:
You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes Experience that demonstrates accomplishment of computer project assignments that required a wide range of knowledge of computer requirements and techniques pertinent to the position to be filled. This knowledge is generally demonstrated through assignments that required the ability to analyze a number of alternative approaches in the process of advising management concerning major aspects of IT system design. This would include defining what system interrelationships must be considered, or what operating mode, system software, and/or equipment configuration is most appropriate for a given project.

GS-14 LEVEL:
You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes Experience that demonstrates accomplishment of computer project assignments that required a wide range of knowledge of computer requirements and techniques pertinent to the position to be filled.
