This is what you will do: This role requires a motivated, creative scientist with experience in nephrology to join our Exploratory Biology team and drive new target discovery and preclinical research programs in rare kidney diseases. You will identify and validate new targets using cellular and molecular biology approaches and contribute to development of new therapies using modalities including small molecules, biologics as well as gene therapy. Your responsibilities will include building cellular-based disease model systems to elucidate key mechanisms used in the testing and optimization of therapeutic modalities. You will collaborate with functions in Alexion and AstraZeneca to leverage internal capabilities to identify the best therapeutic options for our patients. You will be responsible for:
