Description

ReStore Operations under direction of the ReStore Manager (50%):
Provide support to the ReStore Manager in the management of day-to-day store operations.
Coordinate store layout daily to improve sales performance through effective visual merchandising and in-store brand experience. This role will consistently demonstrate responsibility for the ReStore look and feel, establishing a safe, clean and well-organized environment that includes creative, engaging and well merchandised displays, flexibility and proactive maintenance.
Lead and train staff/volunteers on proper pricing structures, implement promotional sales in store. Provide onsite supervision of staff and volunteers; develop goals and daily task lists.
Collaborate with the ReStore Manager to effectively engage, train, and retain volunteers.
Assist with the selection and onboarding of new staff, support performance reviews.
Enforce all Habitat for Humanity York County policies fairly and consistently.
Handle customer inquiries and complaints when necessary while maintaining a high level of customer service for shoppers and donors.

Procurement and Donation Management (30%)
Oversee store inventory and aid Retail Lead Associate in pricing.
Proactively develop relationships with businesses, new donors, and neighborhood associations to increase awareness of brand, communicating and collaborating with other Habitat departments regarding cross over opportunities.
Assist ReStore Manager and Donations Coordinator with corporate donation solicitation and logistics.
Supervise daily product flow and inventory turnover, ensuring donations are handled with care and efficiency. Work collaboratively with the donations coordinator to track incoming inventory and overstock items.

Financial Management (5%)
Implement and manage financial controls.
Maintain up to date knowledge of POS system.
Ability to open and close beginning and end of day cash drawers.
Maintain data points in ReStore dashboard as directed by the ReStore Manager.
Support daily goals both in sales and donations.

Donation Management (10%)
Assist ReStore Manager and Donations Coordinator with corporate donation solicitation and logistics.
Develop relationships with new donors.
Supervise daily product flow, ensuring donations are handled with care and efficiency. Work collaboratively with the donations coordinator to track incoming inventory and overstock items.

Staff Development (5%)
Enforce accountability processes that encourage staff responsibility for their job performance and maintain a positive morale/ non-gossip/drama environment.
Promote a staff culture that aligns with the mission.
Support the ReStore Manager to ensure all HR policies are communicated on a regular basis and the store always complies with current policies
Make policy recommendations as needed.

Safety
Enforce safe work practices by all team members, volunteers, and staff at our locations.
Ensure that all team members are aware of and operate by the safety policies and
procedures for retail environment and transportation activities that look out for the
welfare of our customers and donors.
Exercise outlined protocol by immediately notifying and collaborating with
management on any safety related incident and/or respond to a report involving staff
or any other related team members (workers, volunteers, staff).
If within area of purview initiate and / or aid with the proper
investigation regarding safety incidents by following Safety policies and procedures.

Required Skills and Experience
Strong interpersonal and communications skills with diverse populations
The ability and willingness to call on existing and potential donors to increase merchandise in the store.
Demonstrated ability in training, managing, and leading staff in a consistent, positive and safety conscious manner.
Basic computer skills, including spreadsheets, word processing, and email.
A history of successfully adapting to rapidly changing conditions with unexpected shifts in priorities.
Ability to safely lift and position up to 50 pounds. The job could entail occasional bending, kneeling and reaching, often in awkward or tiring positions. The bulk of time will be spent standing, walking and otherwise assisting customers.

Desirable skills:
Familiarity with the following software programs: Microsoft office, Outlook, Teams, Excel, Clover POS, ThriftCart scheduling.
Ability to use the internet and computers for email, data collection, etc.
Retail experience and/or thrift store experience is a bonus.
Keen attention to detail.
Exceptional customer service skills.
Self-starter with the ability to provide direction to others.

Perform other duties as assigned.
